Which table top do you need for a self-built table?
For a larger table with a length of approximately 160 cm, we recommend a table top with a material thickness of at least 2.5 cm to 3 cm. Too thin a table top will bend in the centre. For small tables up to 80 cm, you can go down to a material thickness of 18 mm. Make sure you use a stable mounting plate with a strong threaded rod to ensure the necessary stability.
