ROUND+RAIL Glass Wall Shelf Kitchen
The ROUND+RAIL glass shelf consists of a traditional glass shelf made of tempered glass* and the RAIL wall upright in matte anodized aluminum. The combination of straight-edged glass and cool aluminum adds a contemporary, stylish flair to your home and offers an element of sophistication for dramatically displaying objects, home accessories and lighting. The glass shelf is available in frosted or clear glass. The edges are high-gloss polished with gently rounded corners. The wall upright can be used with or without end caps (approx. 1 mm per side). Two lengths and three depths are available. All shelf sizes offer a max. load capacity of 35 kg. Mounting hardware (screws, wall anchors) and assembly instructions for quick and easy installation are included.
*Tempered glass is a special, heat-treated type of glass. During production, the glass is heated to approximately 630 degrees Celsius, rapidly cooled and as a result making tempered glass much stronger than regular glass. The only drawback of tempered glass is the fact that it can no longer be altered once it has undergone the thermal process. Tempered glass shatters into tiny pieces without any sharp edges, which makes it much safer to use than regular glass. Its main use for decades has been in the production of vehicles, as the risk of serious injury due to breaking glass is minimized. For that very same reason it has found its way here.
